Modeselektor
Alhoewel de twee leden van Modeselektor, Gernot Bronsert en Sebastian Szary, al sinds 1992 samen zijn (toen nog onder naam 'Fundamental Knowledge') opereren ze pas vanaf 1996 onder de naam Modeselektor. Ze spelen vrijdag 23 november op Strp.
Sinds zij in 2000 tekenden op Ellen Allien's gerenommeerde label Bpitch Contol is het hard gegaan. Je herkent ze misschien ook van projecten als Moderat, een samenwerking tussen Modeselektor en Apparat, of van Pfadselektor, een muzikaal/visuele samenwerking tussen Modeselektor en VJ collectief Pfadfinderei.
Het album 'Happy Birthday' is een vervolg op het in 2005 uitgebrachte album 'Hello Mom', dat onder andere een favoriet was van Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. Op dit nieuwe album is diezelfde Thom Yorke terug te horen op een van de nummers, en daar blijft het niet bij. Een heel scala aan talenten, waaronder Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman, Puppetmastaz en MaxÏmo Park, zijn gevraagd een bijdrage te leveren aan het album. Tijdens hun toer maken ze stops in Duitsland, Engeland, Frankrijk, Japan en Nederland
