Warren Fellow

Een vaderlandse techno-dj/producer die er de laatste tijd flink aan zit te komen, is de Rotterdammer Warren Fellow. Speelt Saturday 07 February op Secret Cinema.

Hij is al een aantal jaartjes bezig (onder andere op zijn label Smoke Records) maar het grote dance-publiek maakt in 2006 pas echt met hem kennis op InnerCity, Awakenings en het oudejaarsfeest van Extrema. Dit voorjaar is bij het Utrechtse Dualblock Recordings de plaat More Conspiracy Theories verschenen, een co-productie van Warren, Estroe en Stefan Robbers van Terrace. Als hij niet in de studio zit of op weg is naar een dj-gig, kan je hem treffen achter de toonbank van G.nius Records aan de Nieuwe Binnenweg in Rotterdam.

Warren Fellow brak het afgelopen jaar hard door met optredens op grote feesten als Awakenings, Extrema en Innercity. Ook zijn producties gaan als warme broodjes over de toonbank wat heeft resulteerd in het feit dat Warren tegenwoordig onderdak heeft gevonden bij Extrema Music. Ook voor deze zomer heeft hij veel op het programma staan met onderandere gigs op Mysteryland, Extrema Outdoor, Awakenings festival en Rockit Open Air.

He has been active as a DJ for several years now and has witnessed the dawning of the house-scene. Since then his drive and passion for house-music and making people dance has been unstoppable. Warren Fellow has been invited to doing gigs all over Europe in countries like Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain & Ibiza.

What makes Warren Fellow so special as a DJ is that he has huge creative musical talent along with a ‘sixth sense’ for communicating with his audience. His heart goes out to his audience who just want to dance and have a great experience. Warren Fellow has the ability to make an audience go completely wild, until (so to speak) the roof comes off.

With his record label Smoke Records Warren Fellow is constantly exploring the borders of what is possible in house-music. He is inspired by artists like Joris Voorn and Anthony Rother. His music can be described as deep, with techie influences. His style can be described as tech-house. His recent releases: ‘Rushing to the middle of it’ and ‘Royal Melodies’ are found on the play lists of DJ’s like: Michel de Hey, Benny Rodrigues, Joris Voorn, Shinedoe, Joachim, Dylan Drazen, Jesper Dahlbäck, Robert Hood, Estroe, Jack the Marseille, Ken Ishii en Paul van Dyk. His latest release ‘My head is empty’ is now in the stores.

Warren Fellow had his first producing experience in the recording studio with a friend about two years ago. Tim J invited Warren Fellow to get in the studio with him. A nice track called ‘Qualified to Dance’ came out an has already been played by Carl Cox.

In Januari 2004 Warren Fellow has started his own record label ‘SMOKE’ with Tim J.
