Bart Skils
Bart Skils' carrière begon in ’95 toen hij naar Amsterdam verhuisde en bij de platenzaak Outland Records aan de slag ging. Speelt Saturday 14 February op Voltt.
Na jaren zijn eigen feestjes te hebben georganiseerd stapte hij in de legendarische club Mazzo achter de draaitafels. Hier begon hij wekelijkse met zijn Voltt avonden, één van zijn concepten die inmiddels een gerespecteerde plek in het hoofdstedelijke nachtcircuit hebben verworven. Zijn stijl strekt zich uit van ritmische techno tot diepe minimal electronica; altijd funky en dansbaar. www.bartskils.com / www.voltt.com
Als drijvende kracht achter de Traffic-, Static- en met name Voltt-feesten, heeft dj/producer Bart Skils uit Amsterdam (via Arnhem) zich geprofileerd als één van belangrijkste promotors in Nederland van de meer vooruitstrevende techno en minimal. Hij haalde mannen als Luciano, Richie Hawtin en natuurlijk Ricardo Villalobos naar zijn evenementen en ondertussen werd hij zelf ook een attractie achter de draaitafels. Laten we het zo zeggen: een dance-festival is geen dance-festival zonder Bart Skils op het affiche. Of het nou, pak hem beet, Awakenings is of 05 Days Off.
